Vegetarian-friendly Korean dishes so you can eat with peace of mind.

These foods are relatively easy to choose when you need to check ingredients in an unfamiliar restaurant or want to avoid meat, dairy, or seafood. Because visible ingredients such as rice, noodles, tofu, beans, and vegetables are central, it is relatively easy to ask before ordering for certain ingredients to be left out or served separately, but it is better to check separately what goes into the broth or seasoning. Also, items that vary by shop, such as ham and egg in Gimbap, meat and egg in Bibimbap, and the broth and seasoning in Buckwheat Noodles, are best confirmed first.

With Bibimbap, you can ask for the Gochujang on the side when ordering, then taste the seasoned vegetables and rice separately before adding Gochujang little by little to control the heat. Cold Noodle with Soybean Soup is made with cold soybean broth and Somen, making it easy to eat on a hot day, though people who cannot tolerate soybeans should avoid it. Pan-fried Battered Tofu is a mild dish made by coating soft tofu in egg and pan-frying it, so anyone who does not eat egg should check before ordering.
