Solo Dining
The perfect meal for solo dining
Single-serving comfort dishes that are easy and welcoming to enjoy on your own.
When your schedule opens up during a trip or your mealtime does not match your companions’, foods that are easy to eat alone are a big help. Many casual Korean restaurants naturally offer menus suited to one person. They are not difficult to order, usually take a relatively short time to prepare, and often make a full meal in one bowl of rice, noodles, or soup.
Gimbap is easy to hold and eat when packed for outdoors or on the move, but it is best to check the fillings from menu photos or descriptions. Sundubu-jjigae comes with soft tofu and a spicy broth, making it good with rice. Pork Over Rice is a hearty one-bowl meal of spicy stir-fried pork served over rice. It is worth remembering when you want an easy, no-fuss meal.
